A proper update...

Here are the befores and afters of the bathroom. There are still a fair few finishing touches to fix, including the ceiling, bath panel and window. We'll start on these in the New Year. Top priority is to get the door back on for when we've got guests!

In the living room we finished the cream (Whisper of Liquer) coats of paint and the ceiling as in the photos from last week. Also finally got some curtains up. Now I'm on the hunt for a Voile blind.

The living room just needs 2 coats of paint on the 'feature' wall, then we can put our brushed chrome light and sockets back on! Can't wait for that. Also need to put the new lights up and get a carpet (think I've convinced Colin that carpet is better than laminate...)

We've also decided to use wallpaper on the landing wall that we've newly built for the bathroom. We went to B&Q and each chose 3 wallpapers we liked and we both picked this one:

3rd coat

I painted the room "A whisper of liquer" today (apart from one wall which will soon be painted "Liquer". It looks so much nicer already, it feels warmer as the bright white was just too cold feeling.

These are some photos I took on my phone back in July when we first moved in...might give you an idea of how far we've come:

I promised a photo (to someone) of the original wall for the bathroom. This is the one we've knocked down and rebuilt:

Here are the efforts of me, mum and Aunty Jan... (it's amazing what a bacon sarnie and cups of teas can do ;))

The bathroom was started on Monday...

A couple of photos of the bathroom progress...

Bedroom 1

Made a small start with stripping wallpaper in bedroom 1 and look what we found! On the bright side the walls so far seem to be in a better state than the other 2 rooms.
